Your data, your control

We collect account details (name, email), the UPSC/KVS profile information you provide (DAF or resume fields), and basic device and usage analytics that help us keep Padhav fast and reliable.

Your name, email, chosen language, and subscription tier. You can view and edit your profile at any time from the app.

Your typed answers during a mock interview are stored so we can generate your score, display your scorecard, and track progress across sessions. They are linked to your account and are never shown to other users.

If you use the microphone, short audio clips are sent to our speech-to-text provider (Sarvam AI) for transcription only. Padhav does not store your audio recordings. When you choose to correct a transcript, we store the original machine transcript and your corrected text so we can improve recognition of UPSC/KVS terminology. Correction pairs are protected by row-level security, linked to your account, and may be exported for speech-model improvement without your user identifier in the download file.

To produce feedback, your interview answers are processed by our AI provider under confidentiality obligations. Scores and feedback are practice guidance only and are not a prediction of your performance in any official interview.

We use privacy-respecting analytics (PostHog) to understand which features help aspirants improve. On the web app we may record product sessions (screen interactions) so we can see where candidates get stuck. Form inputs and interview answers are masked in those recordings; score numbers are not masked. Session recordings are used only to improve Padhav and are not sold. We use minimal cookies and device identifiers for sign-in and analytics. We do not use them for third-party advertising.

Payments are processed by our payment partner (Razorpay). We store your plan and payment status but never your full card details.

We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days and keep only anonymised, aggregate analytics.

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security) to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, and we encourage strong passwords.

You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Padhav is intended for adult exam aspirants. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.
